Job Summary
Administer prescribed medications and treatments as defined by state regulations, verifying resident identity and recording drug dosage, time, and amount on the Medication Administration Record. Deliver routine daily medications per physician orders, observe ingestion, and document reasons for non-administration while reporting changes in resident condition to the nursing supervisor. Assist with meal service, identify nutritional risks, and monitor residents with significant weight loss or gain. Work 12-hour shifts from 6a-8p in a collaborative long-term care environment.
Required Qualifications
- Certified in the state of practice
- Successful completion of State Approved and certified Medication Technician/Aide Nurse Aide Training and Competency evaluation Program
- Name must appear on State Registry as Certified Medication Technician/Aide in good standing
- Current BLS/CPR certification
