Job Summary
Administer medication to residents in accordance with state regulations and training standards while maintaining accurate narcotic counts and medication charts. Provide skilled personal assistance with bathing, dressing, oral care, grooming, and dignified assistance for incontinent residents. Prepare meals according to menu plans and special dietary needs, keep the home clean and safe, and perform laundry and yard maintenance tasks. Monitor resident behavior, report accidents or incidents immediately to supervisors, and communicate care changes with other staff. Ensure all care logs, charts, and records are current while adhering to KDADS care regulations and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Currently certified and in good standing by the State of Kansas as a Certified Medication Aide, or equivalent that allow for the legal administration of medication in our home
- Currently certified and in good standing by the State of Kansas as a Certified Nurse Aide
- Ability to perform heavy lifting with assistance
- Ability to bend
- Ability to squat
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to twist
- Ability to perform repetitive motions (i.e. sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting)
- Ability to push / pull a minimum of 50 pounds (i.e. moving furniture)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (min. 1 hour, i.e. passing meds, washing dishes, cooking, showering assistance)
