Job Summary
Administer and document inhalers, eye drops, ear drops, oral, rectal, and topical medications under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. Assist in addressing residents' physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs through guidance and teaching provided by the Charge Nurse. This role requires Minnesota CNA and TMA certifications, English proficiency, and a 48-hour approved Minnesota Trained Medication Assistant Course. Full-time day shifts include 12-hour rotations with a weekly schedule of 36 hours. Required Qualifications
- Must have Minnesota CNA and TMA certifications
- Must be registered with the Minnesota Department of Health as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Must have successfully completed the 48 hour approved Minnesota Trained Medication Assistant Course
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or ability to become certified within six months of hire date
- Board of Nursing approved Trained Medication Aide (TMA) training in state of practice required
- Must be available for drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
