Job Summary
Administer and document inhalers, eye drops, ear drops, oral, rectal, and topical medications under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. Assist in providing for residents' physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs under the guidance and teaching of the Charge Nurse. Requires Minnesota CNA and TMA certifications, English proficiency, and completion of the 48-hour approved Minnesota Trained Medication Assistant Course. Full-time day shifts with 12-hour rotations. Required Qualifications
- Must have Minnesota CNA and TMA certifications
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must be registered with the Minnesota Department of Health as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Must have successfully completed the 48 hour approved Minnesota Trained Medication Assistant Course
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or ability to become certified within six months of hire date
- Board of Nursing approved Trained Medication Aide (TMA) training in state of practice required
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
