Job Summary
Coordinate and administer medications to nursing home residents while documenting conditions, nursing needs, and treatment reactions per state and federal regulations. Accurately implement physicians' orders, supervise and evaluate junior staff members, and participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel. Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, ensuring supplies are utilized economically and equipment is maintained safely. React decisively in emergency situations while communicating effectively with residents, families, and all organizational levels.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Medication Technician certification in the state employed
- Valid CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience in nursing preferred
