Job Summary
The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) provides residents with high-quality routine care and administers medications under the supervision of a nurse. Key responsibilities include supporting residents in daily activities while promoting their rights and dignity, completing basic nursing tasks, and maintaining documentation compliant with healthcare standards. Candidates must have completed a state-approved Nursing Assistant Program and a Medication Administration training program, with current certifications on the state Registry. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, resilience, the ability to listen actively, and proficiency in English.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of state approved Nursing Assistant Program for the state in which the facility operates
- Current certification and listing on the state Registry
- Completion of a standardized Medication Administration training program for unlicensed personnel in nursing homes through the state in which the facility operates
- Current certification and listing on the state Registry
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in skilled nursing and/or assisted living community
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must be certified and listed on the state Registry for both CNA and Medication Administration.
