Job Summary
Certified Medication Aide (CMA) role administering routine medications to residents under licensed nurse supervision, following physician orders and facility policies. Requires completion of CMA training, state certification, and 2,000 hours as a nurse aide in the last two years. Responsibilities include administering non-parenteral medications, documenting administration, monitoring for adverse reactions, adhering to the Five Rights, assisting with ADLs, maintaining medication security, participating in shift reports, infection control, and supporting resident care plans. Shift options include two full-time day/evening rotating schedules (6:45am-3:15pm and 2:45pm-11:15pm) at Resthaven in Holland, MI. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2,000 hours nursing assistant experience in past two years
- Michigan state-approved nurse assistant certification or equivalent
- Completion of Michigan CMA training program and CMA competency exam
- Current listing on Michigan Nurse Aide Registry as CMA
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull during shift
- Active nursing assistant certification in Michigan
- Completion of CMA training program per state requirements
