Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs monitoring, and psychosocial support. Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, range of motion exercises, and meal preparation while maintaining infection prevention protocols. Document resident interactions, care outcomes, and dietary needs; communicate changing conditions to the charge nurse. Support wellness and recreational programs and maintain clean living areas. Requires CNA certification (or enrollment within four months) and completion of yearly competency testing. Full-time day shifts include rotating weekends and holidays; sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- CNA training and certification required and provided by facility
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Motor vehicle driver's license (implied by Sanford Category II Driver requirement)
- Good Samaritan Drug Free Workplace Policy compliance
