Job Summary

Administer prescribed oral, topical, inhaled, and other non-injectable medications to residents at scheduled times while strictly adhering to the five rights of medication administration. Document all administered medications on Medication Administration Records (MARs), noting dosage, time, and route, and record patient refusals. Obtain and report vital signs as required, immediately observe adverse reactions, and ensure proper security and storage of controlled substances. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living including bathing, dressing, and grooming while maintaining infection control protocols. Requires current Michigan CMA/Passer and CNA certifications, CPR/BLS certification, and a high school diploma. Salary determined by the President with 31 days PTO, dental, vision, FSA, 403(b) match, and $25,000 life insurance.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, valid State of Michigan certification as a Certified Medication Aide/Passer (CMA)
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong knowledge of medical and pharmacological terminology
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
  • Demonstrated compassion and empathy for patients and their families
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., long-term care, assisted living, or hospital)
