Job Summary
Certified Medication Aide (CMA) administers prescribed medications under supervision of licensed nursing staff, verifies resident identity, documents dosage and observations, monitors responses, and assists with activities of daily living within a skilled nursing setting. The role requires accurate documentation, collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team, attention to medication safety, strong communication, and the ability to respond promptly to changes in resident condition. Experience with vital signs, documentation, and adherence to state regulations and facility policies is essential. Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course approved by the State of Kansas
- Active CMA certification in good standing, with annual updates as required
