Job Summary
Certified Medication Aide (CMA) administers prescribed medications under licensed nurses, verifies resident identity, documents dosage and observations, monitors medication responses, and assists with activities of daily living. Collaborates with nursing staff to promote resident safety, wellness, and person-centered care in a senior living setting. Role includes maintaining accurate documentation, supporting admission/discharge/transfer paperwork, performing light housekeeping, answering phones and assisting with tours, while adhering to state regulations and Americare policies. Requires completion of a CMA program, active CMA certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent; duties are performed under supervision in an indoor healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program that meets state requirements
- Active CMA certification in good standing
