Job Summary
Administer prescribed medications under licensed nursing supervision, verifying resident identity and documenting dosage, time, and observations. Monitor residents for medication responses and report adverse reactions promptly. Support residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility, while assisting with admission, discharge, and transfer documentation. Maintain accurate intake and output records and perform light housekeeping duties. Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with tours as requested. This night shift role at Americare Senior Living in St. Peters, MO, requires active CMA certification and collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure resident safety and wellness.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program that meets state requirements
- Active CMA certification in good standing
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary care team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
- Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care
- Clear communication skills and professionalism
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- Assist with resident transfers
- Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs.
- Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.
- Follow proper resident care procedures, including two-person lifts when required
- Utilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens
- Participate in company drug testing procedures
