Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under charge nurse supervision, including bathing, toileting, grooming, and vital signs collection. Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and document outcomes related to care, behavior, and dietary needs. Assist with transfers, re-positioning, walking, and range of motion exercises while preparing meals and maintaining clean living areas. Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and support wellness and recreational programs. Maintain state-approved medication aide certification and complete required continuing education annually.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the state required certified/trained medication aide certification (CMA or TMA)
- Active certified nursing assistant registration in state of practice, or ability to obtain within 120 days, is required
- Must have nursing assistant certification
- Must have completed the 75-hour course
- Must be registered with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
- Must successfully complete the state approved Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course
- CMA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Must have a valid driver's license

Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- Minimum age of 18 preferred
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred

- Active certified nursing assistant registration in state of practice, or ability to obtain within 120 days, is required
