Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under charge nurse supervision, including bathing, toileting, grooming, and vital signs collection. Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and within scope of practice, while documenting outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, and behavior. Assist with transfers, re-positioning, and walking using correct techniques; support range of motion and passive exercises. Prepare meals and snacks, collect non-invasive body fluid specimens, and maintain clean living areas through housekeeping and laundry services. Encourage participation in wellness and recreational programs and communicate changing conditions to the charge nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the state required certified/trained medication aide certification (CMA or TMA)
- Active certified nursing assistant registration in state of practice, or ability to obtain within 120 days, is required
- Must have nursing assistant certification
- Must have completed the 75-hour course
- Must be registered with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
- Must successfully complete the state approved Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course
- CMA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance
