Certified Medication Aide - Assisted Living (AL)

Job Summary
Administer all prescribed medications and treatments per the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and Treatment Administration Record (TAR), ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines. Provide personal care including bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, and incontinence care, while delivering Activities of Daily Living, room cleanliness, and dining services. Manage medication inventory by counting narcotics, ordering supplies, verifying pharmacy deliveries, dating vials, and conducting weekly inspections to remove expired items. Document daily logs, vital signs, and medical chart updates for new or readmitted residents within forty-eight hours. Maintain accurate records, attend staff training, and respond to resident calls as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Current Medication Technician certification depending on state regulations
- Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations
- Basic computer proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Superior time management skills
- Strong team player and a passion for helping seniors
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ months of experience
- Senior Living preferred
- Must maintain accurate records to include preparation of all medical charts for new admissions and readmissions and ensures medical record is complete within forty-eight (48) hours as Policy and Procedure (P&P) and regulatory guidelines
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
