Job Summary
In this Certified Medication Aide role in Assisted Living, the individual administers prescribed medications and treatments per MAR/TAR, provides personal care and general nursing support to residents, assists with Activities of Daily Living, maintains medication carts and logs, verifies MARs, and supports daily operations including charting, reporting discrepancies, restocking supplies, and participating in staff trainings. The role requires supervising self-administered meds, following regulatory guidelines, ensuring proper storage and dating of medications, and delivering compassionate, team-based care to residents. Strong interpersonal and time-management skills, teamwork, and English proficiency are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Current Medication Technician certification (per state regulations)
- 1+ months of experience in senior living/healthcare
- Ability to perform nursing tasks including ADLs and vital signs
- English proficiency for communication and emergencies
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to maintain accurate records and charts
