Job Summary
Administer routine medications to residents, including dispensing oral meds, performing capillary blood glucose checks, and monitoring vital signs. Document dosage and route accurately, report adverse effects to the Charge Nurse, and count controlled substances. Clean and restock the medication cart while maintaining resident confidentiality and adhering to company policies. Requires CMA certification, CPR certification, and six months of long-term care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid certification as a CMA in the state of employment
- Valid CPR certification
- Graduate of a CMA program
