Job Summary
Perform general patient care following established clinic workflows by greeting and preparing patients for providers. Obtain and record vital signs, review drug allergies and current medications, complete screening questionnaires, and document reasons for visits. Collect and prepare ordered specimens for laboratory analysis and provide ordered medications or vaccines to patients. Execute other duties within the scope of the role as assigned. This position requires ABHES or CAAHEP-accredited program graduation, current CMA certification, a Medication Aide 40-hour course, and BLS. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
- Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA)
- Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
