Job Summary
Prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, and document medical histories while administering injections and performing point-of-care testing like EKGs and phlebotomy. Assist providers with minor procedures, wound care, and sterilization, then conduct pre-visit chart reviews to flag care gaps and quality metrics. Coordinate patient flow, process referrals, and maintain accurate EMR documentation to support population health initiatives. Deliver compassionate patient education and respond to inquiries within a collaborative team environment. This role offers a $19–$25 hourly rate, a $1,000 sign-on bonus after six months, and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, PTO, and a 401(k) match.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- May require light lifting (up to 20 lbs.)
- Must have visual and auditory acuity to operate computer systems and phones
Desired Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in a medical office or ambulatory healthcare setting
- Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR)
- Athena experience
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
