Job Summary
Assist physicians and physician assistants with patient care, Durable Medical Equipment fitting, casting, and splinting. Prepare patients for examinations by directing them to rooms, providing gowns, and arranging instruments. Verify patient information, take vital signs, and document medical history in the EHR system. Support care delivery by preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic tests, managing contaminated supplies, and handling wound care. Educate patients on medication and diet while monitoring environmental safety and fall precautions. Maintain exam room cleanliness, stock supplies, and identify abnormal patient values for triage. Must be a certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or licensed health professional with strong clinical and communication skills. Requires ability to travel to all MA locations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be certified as a Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Must be a credentialed medical assistant or Licensed health professionals
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Certification through AMA, NCCT, NHA, or AMT
- MA licensed LPN, PT, PTA, OT or OTA
- MA licensed ATC (Athletic Trainer Certified)
- Clinical skills
- Documentation skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to perform various clinical procedures while in exam room
- Computer skill proficiency in EHR, Microsoft word and outlook
- Efficiently assist in the coordination of a busy office, including use of email, document scanning, and word processing
- Professional, pleasant, cheerful, enthusiastic demeanor, neat appearance required
- Attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills including telephone etiquette
- Motivated individual with team approach
- Must be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary
