Job Summary
Provides professional clinical care under Physician direction and supports the daily operation of the medical office. Responsibilities include placing patients in exam rooms, taking histories and vitals, preparing and reviewing patient charts, setting up surgical instrument trays, pulling X-rays/MRIs for viewing, entering information into the EHR, screening calls, triage per practice protocols, preparing diagnostic reports, coordinating prescriptions with pharmacies, maintaining exam rooms and equipment, and ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance. Requires HS diploma or GED; 2+ years in a medical office; strong computer and EHR knowledge; bilingual Spanish highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical office
- Knowledge of HIPPA & OSHA guidelines
- Working knowledge of medical practice management systems and electronic medical records
- Basic knowledge of computers and medical terminology
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual Spanish highly preferred
