Job Summary
Respond to medical requests from various employees, process error-free written correspondence, and obtain laboratory samples including routine phlebotomy. Conduct audiometric and visual testing, perform EKGs, obtain vital signs, and administer subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections. Obtain medical histories, assist in emergency treatment, file medical records, and maintain logs to ensure inmate needs are met. Requires U.S. citizenship, national certification, CPR certification, and experience with ill patients. Includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and 11 federal holidays.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- National certification and documentation of completion of a Medical Assistant course of study
- Experience in the field of medicine dealing with ill patients, either in a hospital or clinic setting
- Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
