Job Summary
Coordinate patient care in adult, pediatric, and gynecology settings by taking vital signs, performing point-of-care testing, conducting phlebotomy, and processing flu and strep tests. Assist providers by rooming patients, recording chief complaints, performing medication reconciliation, and ensuring accurate documentation within the EPIC system. Manage front desk operations including answering phones, scheduling, patient registration, collecting copayments, and reconciling payments. Maintain exam rooms, restock supplies, and ensure infection control compliance while providing coverage to support daily clinical and administrative workflows.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMR/EHR systems)
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese
- Prior experience working in primary care, pediatrics, women's health, or a Federally Qualified Health Center
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
