Job Summary
Coordinate clinical services and assist providers in managing patient healthcare needs while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Work closely with providers, clinical staff, and support departments to promote efficient operations, effective communication, and positive patient outcomes. Maintain working knowledge of clinic workflows, policies, and procedures to ensure continuity of care across the organization. Schedule includes 60-80 hours per pay period from Wednesday to Friday, 6:30am-5pm, with flexibility to cover additional days. Requires Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or ability to obtain it within employment timelines, along with current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS certification
- Must be organized
- Solid understanding of the principles, methods and techniques necessary to perform general clinical and nursing services for ambulatory patients
- Proficient computer and EMR skills
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to follow provider orders, clinic policies, and patient safety procedures while effectively educating patients using teach-back methods
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Prior medical assistant experience
- National CMA certification (AAMA or NCCT)
- Minimum one year of medical field experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, ambulatory care procedures, infection prevention, and basic clinical treatments
