Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) travels between Fort Wayne, Warsaw, and Huntington to support providers by preparing patient charts for appointments, obtaining vital signs, and assisting with clinical procedures. Responsibilities include managing patient flow through the clinic, performing medication reconciliation, providing medication education, handling billing documents, reviewing outpatient medication storage, tracking refrigerator temperatures and equipment maintenance, and coordinating data related to the patient plan of care. Requires CMA/RMA credentials, relevant clinical experience, CPI and BLS/First Aid certifications after hire, and a valid driver’s license for coverage across locations.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant credential (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required
- Prefer one year of experience in a medical office and/or psychiatric setting
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification must be obtained after hire and kept current
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and First Aid certifications must be obtained after hire and kept current
- Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance
- Criminal and driving record background checks satisfactory
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
