Job Summary
Assist providers with clinical procedures including taking vital signs, wound care, administering injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, and performing EKGs. Prepare and clean exam rooms, manage patient intake, report test results, and conduct phone triage. Support administrative duties such as pre-registering patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility, and coordinating referrals. Maintain daily logs, monitor clinic supplies, and educate patients on medications and diets. This role operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 with no weekends, holidays, or call. Requires a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) certification, BCLS, and 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques
- Proficiency in medical record systems and basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service
- Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking skills for analyzing and resolving clinical and administrative challenges
- Ability to perform care according to age-specific competencies
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT
- BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI)
- Authorization to work in the U.S. for an employer
