Job Summary
Conduct daily resident care by assisting with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, transfers, and limited nursing-related tasks within the position's authorized scope. Administer oral and topical medications, manage EpiPens, and document all medication assistance while recognizing potential side effects. Maintain accurate records of fluid intake, nutritional information, and vital signs; provide shift change reports and communicate resident condition changes promptly. Support light housekeeping, laundry, and meal delivery while facilitating resident activities and encouraging participation in exercise classes. Offer emotional support to residents and families, advocating for their rights, privacy, and dignity in alignment with Wesley Woods' Judeo-Christian values.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification by the State of Georgia as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- The ability to read, write and follow written/oral instructions in English
- Current CPR and/or First Aid
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds, bend, stoop, and twist
- Ability to stand and walk 90% of working hours
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Ability to lift + 100 lbs
