Job Summary
Conduct multi-skilled patient care activities under physician direction, including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information to medical records. Prepare examination rooms and assist in treatment procedures. Maintain current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification and hold a valid Certified Medical Assistant credential. Requires a high school diploma and completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience. Scheduled for 40 weekly hours in a day shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be certified through the American Medical Technologist (AMT) or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Health career Association (NHA) or MedCA as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program
- One year of patient care experience
