Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant - Primary Care role in Pineville supports the Primary Care team both clinically and administratively. Duties include escorting patients, measuring vitals, collecting history, assisting with exams and procedures, performing CLIA-waived lab tasks, administering injections, processing messages, managing EHR documentation, scheduling visits and referrals, and maintaining inventory and infection-control practices across Pineville office locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of accredited Medical Assisting program (CAAHEP or ABHES)
- Medical Assistant certification
- Maintain American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
- Completion of Hepatitis B Vaccine and Flu Vaccine Form (or declination/record)
- Completion of TB test
- Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical facility as a medical assistant and/or externship in medical office
- EKG
- Vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection
- EHR utilization
- Ability to interact with patients in person and on the phone
- Walk, stand, sit, lift up to 35 pounds
- Computer use for long periods
