Job Summary
Conduct relationship-based, patient-centered care by preparing patients for visits, administering treatments, and performing vitals under physician direction. Manage front office operations including registration, scheduling, and check-in/out while maintaining patient safety. Execute diagnostic imaging procedures, position patients for radiology, and process images for quality control. Perform laboratory tests, draw blood samples, and operate lab equipment with daily quality checks. Collaborate with providers and staff through daily huddles and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Serve as a preceptor to train new team members and complete mandatory competency assessments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- General or Other / Certificate Medical Assisting
- All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- CMA - Cert Medical Assistant or NRCMA (NAHP) - Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant or NCMA - National Certified Medical Assistant or RMA - Registered Medical Assistant or CCMA - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- Must have successfully passed a Medical Assistant credentialing body examination (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT) with current and maintained Medical Assistant Credential
- Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association
- Must complete the required OSHA training course for operators of radiology equipment within 60 Days
- Work experience in a practice setting
- Must be organized and attentive to detail
- Must be able to work quickly and efficiently to assure patient comfort and satisfaction
- Able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language
- holds basic computer skills

Desired Qualifications
- Preferred Specific experience in practice specialty
- Radiology experience (and/or will provide training within first sixty days)
- Phlebotomy certification (and/or will provide training within first sixty days)
