Job Summary
Performs basic nursing skills under supervision, greets and escorts patients, prepares exam rooms, assists with exams and procedures, schedules appointments and referrals, educates patients on follow-up, maintains quality control testing logs and medical equipment, and assists patients with medical documentation. Requires ability to work in a team, effective communication with staff and patients, adaptability to changing environments, and proficiency with software applications; must be certified as a Medical Assistant (CMA) and hold BLS certification within 30 days of hire; one year of healthcare experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
- Current National Certification as Certified Medical Assistant
