Job Summary
Medical Assistant provides support to Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologist, and patients through patient registration, insurance verification, processing co-pays, scheduling, coordinating referrals, and answering patient questions. Performs preliminary physicals and vital signs, conducts point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG), and assists with examinations. Maintains exam rooms and front desk operations, handles supply inventory and medical records scanning, and ensures smooth patient flow. Requires BLS and MA certification (CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA or equivalent) or accepted nursing/LPN/RN certifications. Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills, with experience in a fast-paced urgent-care setting preferred. Per diem role with incentive pay and sign-on bonus eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire
- MA certification options: CCMA CMA RMA NCMA NRCMA or equivalent accepted at time of hire
- EMT or CNA certifications accepted as alternative
- Knowledge of medical office management systems
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
