Job Summary
Assist with patient examinations and treatments under provider direction, including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms. Perform basic clerical duties such as answering phones, maintaining records, and filing, while documenting provider encounters and transcribing orders for laboratory, radiology, and medications. Manage materials management functions by ordering and stocking supplies to maintain a clean environment. This full-time day shift role at Dell Children's Medical Center supports the Pediatric Behavioral Health department within Ascension's nonprofit health system.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Association for Health Professionals obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
