Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate for Astera Urology in East Brunswick, NJ. Responsibilities include taking and recording vital signs and EKGs, rooming patients, preparing patients for examination, updating medications, administering injections, authorizing prescriptions, assisting in vasectomy, cystoscopy and biopsy procedures, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, collecting urine/blood specimens, and surgical scheduling. Performs pre-operative and post-operative data entry, chart assembly, and coordinates with multiple departments to manage daily surgery schedules. Utilizes EMR systems (including EMR, Microsoft Teams, Excel) and handles clerical duties, check-in/check-out, and pre-authorizations. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, medical office experience (1 year preferred), Certified Medical Assistant credential, and BLS certification; willingness to travel to other locations. Required Qualifications
