Job Summary
Triage patients upon arrival and communicate with the provider regarding symptoms and abnormal vitals. Document visits in the EMR system and assist with procedures including splinting, radiology, vaccines, medication administration, and phlebotomy. Administer medications as directed, prepare and maintain exam rooms, obtain lab samples, and provide patient education. Handle front office duties such as insurance verification, patient registration, answering phones, and processing payments. Position patients for radiology procedures and follow up on lab results. Requires CMA, RMA, or LVN license with Texas certification; BLS required. Experience in pediatric urgent care or hospital settings within the past three years. Part-time/PRN schedule available.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for working with children
- Experience in a Pediatric Office, Pediatric Hospital, or Urgent Care within the past 3 years, with a minimum duration of 6 months
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with a Texas license
- BLS certification required (online renewal accepted by the American Heart Association)
- Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, basic clinical procedures, CLIA-Waived Testing, and EMR software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
