Job Summary
Clinical Health Advocate (Certified Medical Assistant) sought for a part-time, hybrid role combining field patient visits and office work. Responsibilities span clinical duties (obtaining and documenting vital signs, venipuncture, specimen handling, administering injections, assisting with minor procedures, and ensuring accurate EHR documentation) and administrative tasks (care coordination, empanelment, chart preparation, inventory management, and coordination with insurers for prior authorizations). The role emphasizes patient relationship management, education on treatment plans, and collaboration with the care team to support population health efforts. Field travel within the local market and office work in Presque Isle, ME, with some remote work opportunities, schedule 8am-5pm ET, Monday–Friday.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years clinical experience as Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant
- Experience with phlebotomy is a must
- Experience with injections (vaccines) is preferred
- Reliable access to personal transportation
- Strong people skills and the ability to connect with anyone
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organization
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years clinical experience in a medical setting
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant
- Phlebotomy experience
- Immunizations administration experience
- Strong patient communication skills
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to travel to field locations and work in office
