Job Summary
Sets up exam rooms, checks in patients, and maintains the patient recall system including continuity of care logs. Obtains vital signs, reports findings to the physician, and performs audiometry and vision testing. Performs other job-related duties as assigned under the supervision of a licensed provider. Requires Medical Assistant certification, BLS, and phlebotomy preference. Schedule includes open shifts Monday through Sunday between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM with travel between clinic locations. Mileage reimbursement and shift differential apply.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of Medical Assistant experience
- Must be available between 7:00 AM–8:00 PM, Monday through Friday and 9:00am-5pm, Saturday and Sunday
- Travel between clinic locations required
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Medical Assistant - NCCT (NCCT) or Certified Medical Assistant- NHA (CMA-NHA) or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) or American Medical Tech Board MA (MA-AMT) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Emergency Medical Tech (NEMT)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP
- Phlebotomy certificate
