Certified Medical Assistant OR Medical Assist (4285)

Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) collaborates as part of the patient care team to support health management and patient care activities for clinic patients. Performs a variety of patient care tasks and accommodative services for clinic patients, often assisting section physicians and operating under the supervision of the Patient Care Manager. Maintains primary responsibility for technical procedures and the operation and care of the nursing unit in the department. Requires formal CMA certification and current CPR certification; emphasis on accurate reading of orders, safe patient handling, and teamwork within an orthopedic and neuroscience clinic setting.
