Job Summary
Provide direct patient care to medical and behavioral health patients by performing duties within the Certified Medical Assistant's Scope of Practice, including administering vaccines and medications. Assist physicians with practice operations while maintaining high confidentiality and exercising excellent judgment under pressure. Handle patient complaints with tact and demonstrate courtesy, respect, and excellent phone etiquette. Maintain organization and time management skills while utilizing critical thinking and analytical abilities. Ensure compliance with the Medical Assistants Scope of Practice as required by LCDF. Current CPR and phlebotomy certifications are required, along with a valid New Mexico or Texas driver's license. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current CPR and phlebotomy certifications
- Current and unrestricted medical assistant (CMA) certification
- Valid NM or Texas driver's license
- Up to date automobile insurance
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Excellent time management skills
- High attention to detail with high degree of organization
- Self-initiating ability
- Ability to communicate to a variety of staff members
- Ability to exercise and practice excellent judgment
- Ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision
- Computer literacy
