Job Summary
Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direct supervision of clinical or administrative leadership. Support providers in patient care across assigned clinical areas, including patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, treatments, and dressing changes. Perform general administrative duties in accordance with CLIA, HIPAA, NCQA and company policies. Schedule patient appointments, verify medical necessity and eligibility for care. Maintain clinical documentation and ensure care quality through accurate EMR entries and MyChart utilization. Demonstrate skills to safely perform assigned duties, communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team, and participate in performance improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED or homeschool equivalency)
- Two years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic/outpatient setting or one year in the Novice-II position
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA)
- Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, NHA or Registered Medical Assistant or EMT
