Job Summary
Conduct clinical and administrative support in a 24/7 teaching hospital setting, including patient check-ins, vital signs measurement, wound care, and specimen collection. Perform diagnostic procedures, administer medications under supervision, and sanitize equipment while documenting patient history and scheduling appointments. Coordinate lab tests, manage examination room supplies, and communicate with patients and providers to ensure efficient clinic operations. Maintain patient records, handle administrative requests, and resolve administrative complaints in accordance with Government standards.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Current CMA certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or another approved national/state accrediting body
- BLS (American Heart association or Red Cross)
- Graduate of a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHEP, ABHES, or a formal U.S. Armed Forces medical training program
- Minimum 1 year of post-graduate clinical and administrative experience within the past 2 years
- Must pass TB Test
- Subject to a background/security investigation
- Willingness to comply with DHA vaccination requirements
- Willingness to complete a physical examination
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Required to wear PPE during performance of services
- Walking, long periods of standing, stretching, crouching, bending, stooping, lifting to 50lbs, lifting over 50lbs with assistance
- Exposure to infections disease; toxic, hazardous, or irritating chemicals; carcinogenic materials; noxious fumes; flammable liquids; radiation; pathogenic bacteria; electric hazards
- Contract workers should maintain good personal hygiene and present a well-groomed and professional appearance IAW the policy at the place of performance
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
