Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant/LPN role at Northwest Asthma and Allergy in Redmond, WA. Responsibilities include checking in patients and recording vital signs, collecting medication history and drug allergy verification, reviewing systems, performing preliminary tests as appropriate, entering data into the EMR, conducting procedures as ordered, providing patient education on medications, disease management, environment controls, and device use, maintaining supplies and sample medications, returning exam rooms to readiness, and supporting patient flow in a high-volume outpatient asthma/allergy practice. The position supports a 2:1 CMA to provider ratio and requires hands-on clinical duties with experience using EMR systems (Athena, Epic, GE or similar). Strong communication, teamwork, empathy, multitasking, and a proactive approach to care are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Current Washington State LPN or CMA license
- Must have completed the 7 hours state mandated AIDS/HIV training program
- CPR/First aid for healthcare professionals card
- Washington state insured Medical Assistant certification or registration proof
- Comprehension of EMR/HER recordkeeping system for delivery of healthcare. Prior experience on Athena, Epic, GE or other system is required
