Job Summary
Facilitate patient flow and triage patients while recording vitals in the EMR. Manage lab specimens, diagnostic test orders, and examination room preparation. Coordinate medication delivery, injection administration, and prior authorizations. Return patient calls, answer clinical questions, and provide timely communication. Assist with securing referrals and coordinating with pharmaceutical representatives. Perform additional administrative and clinical tasks as needed. Work 4 1/2 days per week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a rotating schedule of four 10-hour days every five weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assisting certification
- 4 1⁄2 days per week
- 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (half-day schedule every week, out by 12 or 1 p.m.)
- Every five weeks, work four 10-hour days with Friday off
Desired Qualifications
- Prior medical assisting experience
- Primary care experience
- Experience with EMDs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
