Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant provides patient care under supervision, assists with clinical procedures (vital signs, wound care, suture removal, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines), performs urine tests and EKGs, prepares and cleans exam rooms, handles patient intake and scheduling, coordinates referrals, verifies insurance, maintains supplies, educates patients on medications and health topics, and supports administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA required or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required
