Handle patient intake, update medical records, and administer screening tools while documenting correspondence and assessments in the electronic medical records. Assist with walk-in and scheduled clinic visits to verify clinical data, monitor accreditation readiness, and evaluate practice schedules. Guide patients through the healthcare system, ensure timely appointments, and provide emotional support aligned with the clinical plan of care. Facilitate referrals to appropriate specialists for diagnosis or treatment. Demonstrate knowledge of the certified medical assistant scope of practice within a holistic, team-based care model.
