Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant – CMA provides patient care under the supervision of a medical provider and supports clinical and administrative functions. Responsibilities include assisting with clinical procedures (vital signs, wound care, suture removal, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, urine tests, EKGs, splints), preparing and cleaning exam rooms, managing patient intake (test results, triage, medical documentation), supporting administrative duties (pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, insurance eligibility, clinic communications), maintaining inventory and supplies, educating patients on medications and diets, and ensuring efficient clinic operations with reliable attendance and adherence to policies.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA required or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required
