Certified Medical Assistant

Licensed/qualified Medical Assistant to support providers in urgent care settings; responsibilities include patient intake, clinical procedures, front desk operations, and managing patient flow to ensure a safe, efficient, and positive experience. Duties span registering patients, collecting paperwork and insurance information, processing co-pays, scheduling, coordinating referrals, preparing patients for examinations including medical history collection, and documenting in the medical record. Perform point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, EKG, pregnancy testing), draw and prepare blood specimens, stock exam rooms, monitor supplies, and maintain accurate records. Handle phone calls and correspondence, maintain a welcoming reception area, conduct follow-up courtesy calls, and perform opening/closing duties (cash handling, end-of-day reconciliation) and equipment calibration/maintenance. Adhere to clinical, safety, and organizational policies. Requires ongoing certification or credentialing as outlined (BLS; MA certifications or equivalent pathways). Educational background includes a High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assisting program is preferred.
