Certified Medical Assistant - Gastonia

Certified Medical Assistant – Gastonia supports the Primary Care team with duties in both clinical and administrative areas. Responsibilities include patient care tasks (escort to exam rooms, vitals, history taking, screenings, assisting physicians and physician assistants, patient instructions, phone triage, message management, CLIA-waived testing, injections, minor surgery prep and post-care, EKG mounting, lab procedures, and specimen handling), administrative duties (medical records management, appointment scheduling, forms and prior authorizations), and environmental/logistical responsibilities (patient flow, room setup, infection control, sterilization, supply management, waste disposal, and equipment maintenance). Requires high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program, and relevant certifications and immunizations; minimum one year of experience in a medical facility and proficiency with EHRs. Work locations include Charlotte, NC with flexibility to work at Tryon office locations as needed. Role emphasizes patient care, clinical procedures, and clerical support.
