Job Summary
Medical Assistant role in an in-person clinical setting in Washington, DC. Full-time position with potential weekend shifts. Responsibilities include clinical duties (exams, injections, venipuncture, EKG, basic lab work), administrative duties (patient check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations), and operational tasks (EHR management, inventory, regulatory compliance). Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program, active CCMA/CMA/RMA certification, BLS/CPR, and 2+ years of MA experience; proficiency with EMR systems; strong patient-care and communication skills; and ability to support a fast-paced clinical environment. Location flexibility across multiple clinical locations may be required; evenings, weekends, and holidays possible depending on location and patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
- Current CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification
- Current BLS or CPR certification
- 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience
- Experience using EMR systems
