Job Summary
Greet patients and visitors while preparing them for visits by organizing information, escorting them, and taking vital signs. Assist with specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and phlebotomy duties such as urinalysis and pregnancy tests. Support physicians with examinations and procedures that do not require medical judgment, including removing sutures under supervision. Enter orders into Epic, troubleshoot missing labs, and notify staff of emergencies while performing first aid. Open sterile packages and manage autoclave duties under direct supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalency
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Specialized certifications as needed
- CMA certification by a credentialing body
- Current BCLS/AED certification
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform across multi-disciplinary and/or specialties

Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or additional academic coursework
- Previous medical assisting experience in an outpatient setting
